Can you go out in the sun after an injection of hyaluronic acid, Radiesse or Botox ? The question is frequently asked. Sunlight and hyaluronic acid: there is no problem in walking in the sun, but avoid sunbathing for one or two days, or at least use a 50 factor sunblock on the site of the injections, and avoid excessive heat. The main risk is of seeing a brown pigmentation appear on an area temporarily reddened by the injection or even possibly bruised. If there is neither redness nor bruising, you can go into the sunlight, as it would be rather the extreme heat that could possibly provoke a local, benign, transitory oedema. Be a little more careful if the hyaluronic acid injection is a volumising type (for volumising the apples of the cheeks, cheeks or chin) as the high temperatures encourage oedemas (which would nevertheless be benign).

Sun and Radiesse: the same precautions as with hyaluronic acid; the risk of increasing the oedema (transitory and normal with Radiesse, as it is a stimulating oedema to encourage the flow of fibroblasts and thus the synthesis of collagen) is higher than with hyaluronic acid.

Sun and Botox: it is more the high temperatures than the sun's rays which are the problem. The risk involved in high temperatures is encouraging a serious dilation of the vessels risking the consequent displacement of the Botox, but this risk still remains a minor one!

Hyaluronic acid, Radiesse and Botox can be injected at any time of year.
