Radiesse is a resorbable filling product, but very different to hyaluronic acid.

Its effect: it works by stimulating the synthesis of collagen.

Afterwards: once it has been injected, its stimulating action starts, which leads to a slight oedema, sometimes with a slight reddening coupled to sensitivity to pressure. These after-effects are sometimes non-existent, sometimes more severe; they may persist from a few hours to a week (on average, three days). They are perfectly normal!

Durability: on average, 15 months.

Safety: it is a very safe American product (the American regulations for filling products are far stricter than the French regulations)

Suitable applications: modelling the facial contours (the central face, the temples), medical facelifting, medical rhinoplasty, correcting a receding chin, the apples of the cheeks, the naso-labial folds, marionette lines, plumping up the hands, etc.

Undesirable effects:

- No allergies reported.

- Very strong reaction to the stimulation effect with large oedemas, this oedema usually appearing approaching the third week after the injection and responds to cortisone; it always clears up without any after-effects.

The results: lovely, natural-looking results. Note that in some areas such as the central face, you may be able to feel the product by palpation; there is no need to be worried by it. The skin over the injected area will often be denser, have a better tone and more attractive.
